Most treatment providers end all contact once a client 'completes' the program — often because insurance stops paying. We think that is backwards. The longer a client stays involved in aftercare, the better their chances in recovery.
Our alumni program is how we stay in your corner: free follow-ups, community events, alumni support groups and resource connections for everyone who completes partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient or general outpatient treatment at Pennsylvania Recovery Center.

Serious medical conditions like cancer or heart disease have strict follow-up requirements — addiction treatment should meet the same standard. Recovery is managed over years, not discharged in 28 days.
After you complete treatment, our team reaches out on a regular cadence: a call in the first week, check-ins through the first ninety days, and an open door for as long as you want to stay in touch. Recovery gets easier in community. Alumni are part of ours — and our events are open to graduates, families and anyone in recovery who wants to show up.

Alumni groups meet regularly so graduates can keep working their recovery alongside people who sat in the same rooms. Groups are peer-led with clinical support nearby, and there's no cost and no clock — come for six weeks or six years.
We also connect alumni with outside mutual-support meetings — AA, NA, SMART Recovery and others — so your week has structure even between alumni events.
Early recovery comes with real-life logistics. Our alumni team and case managers help connect graduates with the resources that keep a new life stable.
Relapse is never a disqualifier here. If things slip, alumni get a conversation and a plan — not a closed door.

Yes — completely. It is free for anyone who completes PHP, IOP or general outpatient at Pennsylvania Recovery Center. We do not bill insurance for alumni services.
As long as you want. Follow-ups are most frequent in the first ninety days, but alumni groups and events are open to graduates indefinitely.
You will not be shut out for honesty. A relapse triggers a conversation and, if needed, a step back up to a higher level of care — the opposite of hiding it.
The program is designed for our graduates, but many alumni events are open to the wider recovery community — call us and we'll point you to what's coming up.
