Telehealth Drug & Alcohol Outpatient Rehab in Pennsylvania

Our telehealth program is the same intensive outpatient treatment we deliver in Phoenixville, Center City Philadelphia and Avondale — group therapy, individual sessions, psychiatric care — joined by video instead of by car.

Virtual IOP is open to anyone in Pennsylvania: Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Moosic and all of NEPA, Erie, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, or anywhere a daily drive to our offices is not realistic.

How telehealth IOP works

You join 9–15 hours of treatment each week by secure video: small groups of five to seven people, individual therapy, and psychiatric or medication appointments when your plan calls for them. Day and evening tracks let you keep your job, your classes or your kids' schedule.

It is the same clinical program as in-person IOP — the same therapies, the same BARC-10 and PHQ-9 / GAD-7 outcome tracking, the same step-down planning — with one difference: no commute. Statewide access is why we built it.

  • 9–15 hours a week of group and individual therapy by secure video
  • Day and evening tracks
  • Medication management and MAT by telehealth where appropriate
  • Available statewide — no office visit required
  • Step-down from PHP or step-up from weekly therapy without changing providers

Who telehealth rehab fits

Virtual IOP fits people who are clinically appropriate for intensive outpatient care but cannot get to Phoenixville, Philadelphia or Avondale — which is most of Pennsylvania. It grew out of what the pandemic proved: treatment by video works, and for some people it is the only version that survives real life.

It also fits rural residents an hour from the nearest program, shift workers, parents without reliable childcare, college students, and people in early recovery who cannot yet face a shared waiting room every morning.

Not sure virtual is right for you? The free assessment answers that honestly — if in-person PHP or IOP is a better fit, we will say so and help you get there.

Common questions

Is telehealth treatment as effective as in person?

For clinically appropriate clients, research and our own outcomes support virtual IOP as an effective format. The free assessment determines whether virtual or in-person is the better fit for you.

Do I have to live near one of your offices?

No. Virtual IOP is available to residents anywhere in Pennsylvania — it was built for people in NEPA and across the state who cannot commute to our offices.

What technology do I need?

A smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera and internet, and a private space for group. If that is a barrier, call us and we will talk through options.

Can I do MAT or see the psychiatrist by telehealth?

Yes — psychiatric evaluation, medication management and MAT follow-ups are all available by telehealth where clinically appropriate.

Is evening virtual IOP available?

Yes. Both day and evening tracks run virtually, so treatment fits around work and family.
